Ms. Rykiel is the councilor in the HPE building.

Services: Individual counseling, group counseling, guidance lessons, emotional safety concerns (ie: suicidal ideation or harm to self or others, coping with crises and safety planning, etc), student wellness check-ins, assist in conflict resolutions or mediations, and coordinating 504 accommodations.

The concerns Ms. Rykiel works with but is not limited to: trauma and trauma responses, depression and sadness, anxiety and fear, anger, friendships and social skills, motivation, college and career readiness or transitioning to middle school, understanding / processing / communicating emotions, and other school-related emotional challenges, etc.

Other services Ms. Rykiel assists with is connecting families to school-based mental health therapy (Neighborcare), or community-based mental health therapy for concerns outside her capacity as a school counselor. Ms. Rykiel is also happy to provide community or hotline resources for therapy or crises.
