Discussion Panel for Philanthropy

Are you are interested in donating to help our larger community, but not sure where to start? The Seattle Times’ Project Homeless is hosting an online discussion panel:

We’ll provide an update on how organizations and philanthropies are fairing under the current circumstances and examine if this current moment in time — a global pandemic combined with a national racial-justice reckoning — could force us to rethink the very nature of giving.

Seattle Times, August 29, 2020

Wednesday, September 2nd at 2:00pm. You can register for the event by using this link:

The discussion will last for one hour and will include a question and answer session.

Joining the discussion are:

Kiran Ahuja, CEO of Philanthropy Northwest, working towards equity.

Jason Clark, CEO and president of Second Harvest, working to supply food banks, and meal programs across the state.

Palmira Figueroa, campaign manager at the Social Justice Fund NW, a grant making organization that addresses social, economic and environmental inequity.
